Valley Haggard has lived in New York, Italy, Colorado, Arkansas, Alaska and about 20 different places around Richmond, Virginia. She currently lives in the house she was born in with her husband, son, dog and cat. The Book Editor for Style Weekly since 2004, she has taught creative writing for Art 180, the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, the VMFA and the UVA Young Writer's Workshop. She is currently Director of Richmond Young Writers and the Producer of the James River Writer's monthly Writing Show. She has a monthly column in Belle, Style's magazine for women, in which she explores a wide range of alternative healing modalities. She has a BA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College.
